Paleo Pork Ribs Slow Cooked

Paleo Pork Ribs as I made Pete Evans Paleo BBQ Sauce Recipe and spread it over Pork ribs after a dry rub of sea-salt, black pepper, fennel seeds and garlic powder was rubbed on both sides of pork ribs then massage the bbq sauce over the ribs and cook in slow cooker on low 8hrs or high 4hrs. base with sauce every hour if you can to coat the ribs. Serve with coleslaw.

This week I am back on track with Pete Evans range of ready cooked meals and simmer sauce range meals  and with his raw cakes or bliss balls for morning/afternoon teas

Healthy Everyday Pete Evans Simmer Sauce Thai Green Curry as directions on label for chicken curry. I served mine with zucchini noodles made by using my spiralizer. (Not a fan of this one very bland mild curry)

Different Ways with Vegetables

Stir Fry, Salads, Slaw, Steamed, Sautéed, Roasted, skewers, Pickled, Slow cooked

 

 

 

 

 

Cauliflower : Steamed, Sautéed, Roasted, Make into Mash or Replace rice with Cauli rice . Nice with bacon, onions, Brussel sprouts, Stir-fry’s, Garlic, Chili -deseeded and de-skinned, Ginger, mustard seeds also go well with Cauli, Curries, Gratin, Pizza or Wrap base

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Broccoli: Steamed, Roasted, Season with sea-Salt and pepper. Add beef, pancetta, chicken, turkey. Stir-fry, Oyster Sauce, Garlic, Ginger, Chili de-skinned and deseeded, Curries, Dijon, Gratin, pizza or wrap base

Mash:  (Crème Fraiche or coconut milk with cooked Vegetables in blender) Can add leek, onion, shallots, Sea-salt and black pepper.  Types of Mash Beetroot, Carrot, Sweet potato, Parsnip, Cauliflower

Carrot, Celery & Onions: Options include add to other vegetables, Meat, Poultry or Fish, Coconut Milk, Curry Powder, Coconut Aminos. You can also pickle or make them into salad, or crudités or skewers with meat, or for stews/slow cooking
Carrot : Steamed, Baked, Make into chips, soups, stir fries, Crudités, salad and slaws
Celery : Sautéed, Mix w Aioli or mayo or chicken or tuna in lettuce wrap, crudités, soup, stir fries, char grilled on bbq, Add bacon to celery, or walnuts and apples, salads with radish.
Onions : sautéed, fried, baked, slow cooked, stir fried, salads and slaws
Soup Base – Sauté Carrot, Celery, Onion, Then add for soup base organic bone-broth or stock , herbs, Sea-salt and Black Pepper.

Mushrooms complete with Butter, garlic, sage, thyme, mint, bacon or prosciutto, coconut aminos, ginger, spinach or kale. Make into a Strog or bolognaise sauce, or gravy, With Eggs in a Omelette or frittata

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wombok/Asian Cabbage – Asian Slaw or Chow Mein (*No noodles), Chicken or Beef Thai salad

Red/Green Cabbage : make into Slaws, Sautéed w onion, garlic and organic butter, Gluten Free oyster, Garlic, Ginger, Chili deseeded and de-skinned, Egg, Green Shallots, Salads or as a replacement for noodles in broths

This week I am trying to get back into paleo meals and Pete Evans Meals and Sauces have arrived so I will be incorporating them into the menu.

Pete Evans Healthy Everyday Meals

Healthy Everyday Ready Meals will no longer be available online for order. Only Available at selected NSW Woolworths and Woolworths online store. At the current time I have only found 3 of the 18 Meals at Batemans Bay Woolworths whilst on holidays. They were the Cottage Pie, Pulled Pork, Green Curry Chicken. 

Final online orders will be delivered after cut off wed 28th March orders at https://healthyeveryday.com.au for delivery locally on Tues 3rd April . They are all Paleo Meals that keep in fridge for 28 days, 3min in microwave and meal is ready. I had a reply from Healthy Everyday saying they are aiming to make more meals available and are working with Woolworths to get more stores to take them on. In the meantime some organic stores are stocking them.

NEW 2018 Pete Evans Simmer Sauce Meals

Just released are Chef Pete Evans Simmer Sauces range available through selected IGA stores or online through http://www.avogel.com.au/food . I ordered 2 of each sauces to try them out. They are suppose to be the same as the healthy everyday meals range. $7.99 for 330ml jar of sauce. Paleo, Gluten Free, Made with natural ingredients. They arrived after 2 days order as they came from Qld to NSW.  IGA in Illawarra wont be stocking them as they are a special order. Stay Tuned for my meals using these sauces. Coming Soon.

 

Paleo Slices/Museli

I have wanted to experiment with ingredients to get a paleo slice to take to events such as when I am rostered on supper or morning teas at church. Here are two I have done today. They all crumbled when I cut them so I have Now Called them a “Muesli” for hubbies breakfasts. as he has muesli every day
