The ultimate comfort food!
Bibimbap! Bibimbap means mixed rice usually with bbq meat, vegetables, rice and egg.
This dish is to use up vegetables and kalbi marinade.
I Love this bowl of goodness.
Kimchi is also Korean fermented cabbage with chili and salted over weeks in barrels to ferment then rinsed and kept in jars with gochujang.
I will be making more bibimbap bowls soon. See my other bowl meals here.
Kalbi beef Bibimbap
Bulgogi beef and pork with vegepod tatsoi, garden fresh broccolini and coriander from herb pot
I had some pulled pork and beef left over from a week ago and added bulgogi marinade to it. I got fresh Tatsoi and broccolini from my garden and coriander from herb pot. I added celery and carrot to make the meal complete. Stir fry for 3minutes until meat is heated through.
Bowl Meals are quick to make and filling but get a variety of things in them. These are based on Korean marinades I just found in the supermarket. Teamed with lots of fresh things. Cut steak into thin strips then marinate in 1-2Tb marinade (Kalbi or Bulgogi) for 30min then panfry without oil in non stick skillet.
