Chinese:Velvet chicken


Velvet chicken is Chinese braised chicken. Simple to make but you need 1 hour to marinade.

Velvet  chicken: serves 2

1 large breast fillet

1 tsp rice wine vinegar

2 tsp chinese cooking wine

1 Tb gluten-free corn flour

1 organic free range egg white

1/8 tsp sea-salt

then later

water to boil chicken in.


Cut chicken into thin pieces

Place all marinade w chicken slices in bowl big enough to fit all pieces.

Cover with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour

then remove from marinade wiping off excess liquid

and cook in water bring to boil for 2 min or until chicken is cooked through.

Remove from water or it will toughen.
