Takeaway version which comes on a stick i buy them for a quick filler for lunch at $2.50 fills you up. Here is my recipe

 

Ingredients

150g fish flllet skinless/boneless (I use Basa or Hoki)

1/2tb sake or mirin

light pinch sea-salt

1tb instant potato flakes

1egg

1/2 tsp ginger

1 carrot grated

1 green shallot sliced

1tb sr flour

dipping sauce Tamari soy

Method:
Blend fish with potato mash and all other ingredients in bender.
Take 1tb mixture make into ball then flatten put on tray lined with baking paper. Then rpt until all used.
*japanese wrap it around bamboo skewers then grillinstead of patties. If you prefer to do it this way soak skewers in water so they don’t burn.
Shallow fry patties in hot oil until golden on both sides. Serve with Tamari and pickled ginger
